4/10 MIN.ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT: It is a contest in which the entrants shall post a video of them completing the specified stage in Sonic Adventure DX for the PC as fast as they can. The winners of the stages shall be pitched against each other (their videos played side-by-side) to see who is the best. Then, whoever is the winner in the very end, shall be, well, the winner!
I shall wait until the required amount of players have entered to start the contest. I shall personally be in this, just so you know. In order to join, you must send me (Rias) a personal message here on this forum, or reply to this topic saying you wish to join. I shall then put you in the list below. Why not join? What've you got to lose?
VIDEO/GAMEPLAY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Video must be smooth enough to watch the timer and character well. I shall decide whether this is a pass or fail.
2. The player may NOT under any circumstances be playing on a modified EXE or stage. While I can still decide on this, I need your honesty in this.
3. (optional) Please try to not pause during your video. If this is necessary, then at least skip all of the pause time or something.
FAQ:
Q: What is some software I should record with?
Anything will work. However, if you can get the full version of it, Fraps is the very best recording software of them all.
Q: Can I use a modeled and/or PVM edited character in my video?
A: Yes you may, as this does not affect gameplay. You may also use swapped animations, but only in the DLL please.
Q: Can I edit the stage at all?
A: No. Not even PVM editing. Please.
Q: Can I add my own music to the video?
Yes, but you can't add FX or anything.
Q: What exactly must I record?
A: Please record from the moment the stage title screen appears, til the Character Select Screen appears once the stage is over.
Q: How exactly does this tournament work?
A: I shall have players play through all ten stages as Sonic (not SUB Stages or Hot Shelter) and at first I shall pick the top Ten winners. Then the top Nine, then Eight etc. until there are two players left who shall then play against each other on a stage that I shall specify later on. The winner of the two is the winner.
