Character hacks crash game! PLEASE help!

I recently got DX on my PC, and I was phyced to finally be able to use different models (Classic, Riders, Brawl, Etc.) in the game. However, when I add the new model/texture by putting it in the system foulder, it crashes on the Character select screen. At first I thought it was the hack, but I tried many other models and they didn't work either. Any advice?

Try other Sonic.exe 's. Or you could get pablodrago's superfix. It's the best exe.

Where can I find more Sonic exe's?

UGH, still not working, even with superfix. I must need a new sonic.exe... Where can I find one?

Well... I've tried countless exe's, including the one included with classic Sonic, but to no avail. Does anyone else know what could be wrong?

Do the ones you use, have the morph targets pre-killed? I'm not sure that's the problem, but it's the only thing I can think of.
